If you could choose one super-power, what would it be and why?

Tough question!
I think it would have to be space-time manipulation (stopping time, time travelling etc) because it would mean you wouldn't have to worry about being late, or having to use planes and boats to travel internationally :D. I HATE planes.

Though telekenisis would be quite cool too. You could levitate yourself and make yourself fly!

If you could relive one hour of your life so far, what would you choose and why? Would you do or say anything different? How do you think it would change your life?

Easter Sunday of this year. About 10.00pm?
I messed up what could have been a great relationship with someone, because I didn't think about what I was doing, or saying.
I think, I think, that I've just been given a chance to save it. But I really really wish I could go back.

Do you believe everything has a scientific explanation?

An athiest-ic part of me would say yes, we just don't know what the science is. The part of me that is thiest-ic would say no. I do believe in miracles. And I believe that there are things on this earth too beautiful to have been created in a big bang.
Maybe God created the Big Bang.
I don't know.

It was totally awesome. We have some of the series and the Peacekeeper wars. I remember crying at the last episode of the final full series.

How many (if any) songs do you know by heart? What are they?

View 504 Answers

MANY MANY MANY. The entire Avenue Q Soundtrack, for starters. A good portion of RENT. Some Michelle Branch, Viva la Vida...
I play a lot of music, and I'm quite adept at learning pieces, which means I often find myself learning the lyrics to songs when I listen to them.

What's the best April Fool's joke you've seen today?

View 500 Answers

I have two!
1. A friend phoning my other friend and telling her that she had fallen over at the train station and broken her leg, and so was going to hospital, which resulted in much shrieking and rushing to try and bunk school. Fortunately the person showed up before my friend snuck away.

2. My best friend baking cupcakes with ketchup inside. *shudders*

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

View 503 Answers

I want to travel everywhere in the world, especially South America, Germany, Pacific and Australia/New Zealand. But I'd love most of all to travel across America. Through New York City. New York just seems like a kind of dreamworld that doesn't exist. I just want to see it and touch it and be a part of it (as CORNY as that sounds. God.) That's why when I'm older, I'd really love to study at Juilliard (and NO, that is not from HSM3. My dad has been showing me the website since I was 10. 10!)

Writer's Block: On the Bus

Jam a bunch of people together in a tight space like a bus or the subway and something crazy is bound to happen. What's the most memorable thing you've seen on mass transit?

View 500 Answers

Too many to mention! Though a memorable one was when the bus driver went right instead of left, causing the bus to have to repeat the entire route again. The bus was packed with school kids (myself included) - and when we got to the roundabout which would take us back on the right route again, everyone started revving up their voices and exploded into cheers when the bus driver took the right turn. It was one weird bus journey :)

I rang in the New Year Barndancing at NYO. And drinking lots of NON-alcoholic punch. And then singing Auld Lang Syne.

It's the winter solstice in the Northern hemisphere, summer solstice in the Southern hemisphere, and Haiku Day in the U.S. Does that inspire you to write a three-line poem with five syllables in the first and last lines and seven in the middle line?

Writer's Block: The Wrath of Ohrwurm

  • Nov. 26th, 2008 at 6:07 PM

German has a word for everything, like ohrwurm. Translated literally as "earworm" in English, it's the word for songs that get stuck in your head and won't go away. What earworm of a song do you most dread burrowing into your head?

Submitted By [info]willard41

View 500 Answers

Current ohrwurm is"Viva la Vida", by Coldplay, because of a recent journey, on which I listened to this song about 30 times during the 23 hour coach trip. It's also now my "Germany" song, because a) It was used in Verbotene Liebe a few months ago at the end of a REALLY cute section, and b) We were coaching through Germany while I was listening to it :).
I have lots of other ohrwurms though. Avenue Q songs are always in there, knawing away at my brain cells.

Hospital dramas are a time-honored staple of television, from General Hospital to County General to Seattle Grace. Which TV hospital would you most want to check in to? And who would be your doctor?

ER - County General. Either a young Dr Carter (because he's just too adorable for words) Dr Ross (FITNESS ON A STICK) or Neela Rasgotra, simply because she is a British woman made of awesome :)

Bonjour to everyone! I hope you're all ok.

School hasn't been too bad recently. Sucks a bit as I have no lessons with my best friend anymore. Add that to 4 lunchtimes taken up by music and that leaves us one lunchtime a week to catch up. But we do, and we phone each other, so it's alright.
Started my French AS course. Jesus CHRIST it's hard. I didn't speak french at all over the holidays and now I really need to catch up, otherwise i'm going to fail dismally.
But apart from that, everything's OK. Going to Prague in a few weeks for a music tour (23 bloody hours on the coach) but we do pass through Germany, through Frankfurt. Jo Weil, who plays Olli from Verboten Liebe, is currently doing a theatre tour of Germany, so I'm in the process of making a banner saying ICH LIEBE DICH JO! to store on the coach in case I spot him. I think I'd scream my head off if I did see him. If I actually MET him....I think I'd end up as a happy pile of goo on the floor :)
Speaking of Jo Weil, Olli and Christian has been SO GOOD! Though now one of their storylines is over, we won't be seeing them for a few months. They have become one of my favourite ships EVER, even more than Janto in some ways (SHH! Dont' let anyone hear that!) just because the chemistry between them is so clear and they act their hearts out. And now Christian has finally said that he loves Olli (it was clear they were in love, but he had just never said the actual "I love you", like Olli had), which gave me a smile that didn't go for hours. But with no screen time for the next few months I think I'm going to have to rewatch every update. And write some fanfic
Seriously, I'm obsessed. It's not good.

So, how does everyone feel about winter coming up? Looking forward to it?
